The first look of Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Emergency’, which dropped two days back, garnered critical acclaim and started trending at number 1 on YouTube. Not only this, it has also garnered accolades and accolades for the actor’s look, which is very similar to former PM Indira Gandhi.
Talking about wearing the directorial cap for the second time, the actress says, “My last directorial was ManikarnikaJhansi Ki Rani and I got an encouraging response from the audience as it was a blockbuster. I was tempted to direct another film, but I had to complete several acting assignments. I believe I know the pulse of the audience from my interviews, my quotes and the words I coined are now part of pop culture (she laughs). I believe the audience is looking for something that stimulates their intellectual side, not just their sensual side.”
Kangana Ranaut further added, “They want to involve themselves more with the narrative and the narrative should also be centered on them. Emergency is an undeniable part of recent history and I think it will click with the audience.
