Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor says she trained extensively for Bihari lyrics for her upcoming film “Good Luck Jerry”.

Revolving around the life of a young girl, Jerry, the film puts together her struggles as she goes above and beyond to save her ailing mother. But his journey is full of ups and downs and hilarious moments of chaos and comedy.

The film stars Janhvi Kapoor as a humble yet gritty character with a stunning ensemble cast including Deepak Dobriyal, Meeta Vashisht, Neeraj Sood and Sushant Singh.

Janhvi played the role of Jerry, a simple girl from a small town in India, the city she represented, it was important to understand the dialect for this role.

Commenting on her diction for the film, Janhvi Kapoor said: “I trained extensively for the Bihari dialect. We had some coaches named Ganesh sir and Mr Vinod. We attended a workshop and listened to all those songs, he even made me do an exercise where he used to ask me to abuse Bihari as a part of training. ,

“The whole process was ultimately a lot of fun. I’m so grateful to know the syntax of that section of my country.”

Directed by Siddharth Sen and produced by Aanand L Rai’s Color Yellow Productions, Lyca Productions and Mahaveer Jain, the film will release on July 29 on Disney Plus Hotstar.
